History of the American Flag

1. The origin of the flag is actually unknown to historians even though most believe Betsy Ross made the original.
2. The flag got involved in that flag came about on June 14, 1777 when congress passed the first of three major flag acts.
3. The graphic design choices along with the color and choices of shapes all have meaning. The white stands for purity and innocence. The blue for vigilance, justice, and perseverance. The red is for valor and hardiness. The design hasn't changed much other then from the stars being in a circle originally then having 13 starts in rows, then more and more stars came. But luckily, nothing too dramatic has happened to the flag.
4. The flag seems to mean that our country stands for justice, purity, and hardiness. The flag is an important symbol that has been cherished since it was made and will be continued to be.
5. The nickname the "Star-Spangled Banner" is from a poem which is the name of our national anthem.
6. I couldn't find any evidence proving that the way the flag is arranged the way it is due to a deeper meaning then that's just how it is.
